Josie Ellis Ellis

I am a charity sector professional, with over 15 years experience in International Development. I have worked for ActionAid, Tree Aid and Motivation International in a range of roles including Project Management, M&EL with technical expertise in gender equity within programmes.

My current role is with a small organisation supporting Refugees and Asylum seekers. I manage a network of volunteers to ensure they are well supported and feel valued. Previously, I have worked with the Refugees Agency of the United Nations (UNHCR).

I am an effective communicator and have excellent active listening skills, helping to ensure my interactions with others are fully understood and dealt with empathetically and with compassion. I have much experience of facilitating groups and supporting people to ensure their views are heard and included in discussions.

I would work with you on a personal basis, and the focus of the lessons would have you at the centre. During our initial session/s we would co-create to decide how you would like the lessons to feel, giving you some control and autonomy in the process. I would work to create a positive and friendly working environment and one where you feel safe to bring your authentic self and the chance to discuss issues and challenges to overcome.

I am a very organised person, so you could expect a professional service with a good structure and pathways to progress visible from the outset.

The sessions could involve coaching on area/s of your life, work or studies where you feel stuck and in need of support, I also offer lessons around effective communication including active listening, as well as wellbeing and reflective practice.
