I’m an experienced secondary Science and Physics teacher with 12 years in the classroom, including leadership experience as a former Head of Science & Physics.
My tuition is carefully tailored to the individual learner. I begin by identifying strengths, gaps and the reasons behind any difficulties, then build sessions around clear explanation, worked examples, questioning and purposeful exam practice.
I place a strong emphasis on genuine understanding rather than memorisation. If a concept is not clicking, I’ll approach it in a different way until it does.
For GCSE Science, I support Biology, Chemistry and Physics content, exam technique, problem solving, revision and common misconceptions. I also work well with home-educated learners, students following alternative pathways, and those who benefit from a calmer, more flexible pace.
Lessons are structured, focused and supportive, with enough challenge to make progress without making the learner feel rushed. My aim is to help students become more confident, more independent and better equipped to tackle unfamiliar questions on their own.
