Joseph in a nutshell

I have a kinetic based teaching method where I prefer that myself and student does the skill physically so the body gets used to working through the motions of that specific skill, I also take notes of sessions and will refer to those throughout our time together, this helps to keep up on track for where we are with out learning and more importantly show how far my student has progressed.
Dependant on the task or skill that we are doing, I typically start with a quick, fun warm up which is lightly based on the skill we will be learning and to also keep students focused, we will then move onto the first section of the skill and keep each section sharp to make sure there is no drop off in the students attention, after a few different skill based tasks we will the move onto a semi-live based version of using the skill to add in a challenge aspect, depending on the task this could range from a full Olympic weight lift, or a submission technique in Jujitsu or a spin pass in rugby. Once the student is confident at using the skill in a semi-live aspect we will move onto a full live section, in this section the student will have to use the skill in a full live scenario e.g. adding the weight lift in to a circuit, using the Jujitsu submission technique in a live match or using the rugby ball spin pass in a real game scenario.
From my experience in many of these sports, playing rugby, squash and badminton to a high level, competing in weight lifting competitions and also competing in Brazilin Jujitsu competitions to a high standard amongst other sports, I have become highly skilled and knowledgeable in how to base training around each student, I keep tasks fun and easy with progressive challenges so students don't get bored or put down with too difficult tasks or bored with them not being difficult enough.
