I achieved an upper 2:1 in Biological sciences when I graduated from Oxford university in 2020. The Oxford tutorial system means I have had regular exposure to one-on-one tutoring, and I believe this has equipped me well to spike interest and drive engagement in potential students.
Having worked as an e-learning designer for five years, I have lots of experience in designing effective and engaging learning experiences. This includes employing various didactic techniques to convey information, creating graphics to aid in its retention, and creating quizzes to assess participants knowledge.
I believe I am a personable and effective communicator, being a course representative, our college mascot and having appeared on the BBC TV show pointless. I find I am very capable at making helping shy people feel more comfortable. This, combined with my strong academic background and depth of experience in the field of learning make me an ideal tutor.
