About me

I’m a qualified teacher and parent of eight years, and I teach online to ensure you can learn from the comfort of your own home—where you feel most at ease. From our very first lesson, I’ll take time to get to know you as an individual. Building a strong relationship with my students is important to me, as it helps create trust, boosts motivation, and supports your learning journey.

My lessons are structured in three clear parts:

Recap – We’ll review what you learned in our last session to reinforce your understanding.

New Learning – I’ll model the concept first, then we’ll work through it together before you try it independently (with my support still there if you need it).

Wrap-Up – We’ll summarise what you’ve learned and reflect on your progress.

I believe learning should be simple, fun, and engaging—not overwhelming. I keep things clear and manageable, using games, creativity, and interactive activities to make lessons enjoyable and memorable.

One method I often use is TPR (Total Physical Response), which means we use physical movement and gestures to help lock in new information. This makes learning more engaging and supports memory retention, especially for younger learners.

I’m also a very patient teacher. If you find something tricky, that’s absolutely okay—I’ll calmly explain it again or try a different approach until it clicks. My favourite moments in teaching are those ‘lightbulb’ moments—when everything suddenly makes sense to you. They make me so proud!

I’ll always celebrate your successes, no matter how big or small. Consistent praise and encouragement help build confidence and make learning a positive experience.

Whether we’re learning reading, writing, maths, or anything in between, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
