My core belief is that strong progress comes from strong foundations. I believe this is particularly important in maths and physics where topics build on one another, so it is difficult to move confidently onto harder material if there are gaps in the basics.

The way in which I deliver sessions is completely catered to the student. My experience teaching children of all ages and abilities at Mathnasium has highlighted the importance of finding a teaching method which suits the student whether it be visual teaching, socratic questioning, direct teaching or independent work.

I am happy to tailor lessons around the student's goals, whether that means preparing for an upcoming exam, revisiting difficult topics, completing homework or generally building confidence. We can focus on a specific target such as a GCSE examination or take a longer-term approach to strengthen weak areas and stay ahead in class.
