Like you, I want to communicate really well. Whether it’s to pass an exam or to make lifelong partnerships, it’s wonderful to understand and produce language effectively and fluently.

I use what works for you. If you can sing it, you can say it. If you take your own notes you learn more. I will use resources from your world and introduce role plays, grammar exercises and a coach mentality.
Your goals will be mine and I will enjoy getting you there!

I have taught English in Chile, Ecuador, Madeira and France. Spending eleven years in France allowed my to work my way up to President of TESOL France. I am familiar with testing methods.

Since everybody’s different I will work to the strengths of the person in front of me. There will be a structure:
Presentation of goals,
Checking in - general conversation,
Review of home study,
Presentation of a new point of language,
Practice of this ( controlled)
Practice and incorporation into your lexicon ( more free communication)
Recording and analysis,
Review ( every 10 mins )
Setting home study to consolidate and prepare for next language point.

This is a general structure that allows students to see progress and know what still needs more attention.

I am positive with my students - their ally! If you can enjoy your language learning experience and leave with a song in your head, and a spring in your step then I have probably done my job!
