What My Lessons Are Like
My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student. Every session follows a clear format: a quick warm-up to review prior knowledge, clear concept explanation with worked examples, guided practice where I support the student, independent practice to build mastery, and constructive feedback to address gaps. I always end with a short recap and preview of the next topic.
The content covers everything from foundational number skills (Grades 3–5) to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics (Grades 9–12). I use a mix of direct instruction, inquiry-based questioning, and real-life applications to make maths relatable. Lessons are interactive—students explain their thinking, attempt problems live, and ask questions freely. I integrate digital tools like GeoGebra, Khan Academy, and shared whiteboards for online sessions.
With over 20 years of experience teaching and mentoring young people, I understand how to adapt to different learning styles, paces, and confidence levels. I create a safe, encouraging space where mistakes are part of learning. My goal is not just better grades but genuine understanding and lasting confidence in maths.
Whether your child needs catch-up support, exam preparation, or enrichment, I design each lesson around their specific goals. Book a session and let's build success together.
