I have 19 years experience of teaching, both children and adults... I am a proud teacher and have had a lot of pleased and successful pupils!

I love music and I am an enthusiastic educator. I am pleased to teach music grades, (following ABRSM, or Trinity syllabuses), or just to teach pupils for the enjoyment of learning and playing music.

Lessons are structured appropriately, according to the standard of the pupil. With all brass instruments, a warm up, some flexibility exercises, some technical exercises and some solo playing is a good structure. However, I do include progressive duets and orchestral excerpts, or Jazz standards with accompaniment, if the pupil shows an interest in this.

I like to teach 45 minute lessons or 60 minutes lessons, allowing time to cover a lot of areas. However, I do offer 30 minute lessons, and these are particularly well suited to young children. The first lesson is a consultation lesson, with no obligation, (from me or you), to continue.
