With over 38 years of teaching experience at a top London secondary school, I know the topics students struggle with during biology, physics and chemistry lessons. I have a proven track record of providing clear explanations to pupils of all abilities, with plenty of diagrams and example questions to supplement understanding. My lessons are enriched with helpful tips regarding exam technique, and my deep knowledge of the curriculum allows me to quickly diagnose learning gaps. I am an Edexcel exam marker, having previously worked with AQA, giving me full knowledge of the requirements exam boards require to obtain the highest marks. My lessons are geared towards what you should be doing to answer exam questions successfully, as well as providing interesting background to advance my explanations. I also provide you with short multiple-choice questions as a starter to test your background knowledge and help me focus on what you may need more help with.
I have been an assistant headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead at a top comprehensive school in West London for eight years. As a classroom teacher, I have taught biology up to A level and physics and chemistry to GCSE level. My pupils come from a wide range of academic abilities, so by tailoring my lessons and pushing them to achieve their best, I have always obtained excellent results.
