I believe that the first rule of dynamic teaching is having an awareness of the current knowledge and skills of the learner while focusing on their unique needs their behaviour, emotions and imagination.
Each lesson will have clear objectives, be well defined and age appropriate. A structured period of time where learning is intended to occur. The focus will be moved from teaching to learning. Students with different learning objectives will have the opportunity to access multiple learning activities including interactive learning.
All learning will be evaluated, and lessons adapted to meet the needs of the individual learner. ’Personalised instruction’ has been proven to empower students to outperform their peers.
I am a highly qualified and experienced teaching professional who specialises in working with special needs students aged 4-70 with a wide range of educational and mental health needs, in addition to teaching mainstream learners from 5 to adult.
I utilise exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with students and to establish links with other professionals and organisations connected to their learning journey. I am committed to improving standards of special needs teaching, whilst helping to prepare them for life outside of compulsory education and an acceptance that education never ends so that their lives can always be enriched through knowledge and learning.
