My lessons tend to be focused on the work that is brought in to the session by the learner. The first session provides for an introduction and identification of strengths and areas in which the learner wants help and to be successful. Breaking down problems into achievable parts is what I tend to lead with and use these to review both progress and how the learner can be helped to overcome obstacles. I tend to build a good rapport and from this success at achieving qualifications based on the learners developing ability and confidence.
I have experience of learning with education at Master's Level and a considerable amount of experience supporting students in clinical and academic learning. my own learning is something that I continue and understand fully the frustration of learners when trying to navigate their own learning journey and in this I take a keen interest in investing confidence into the learner.
I am keen to make the journey with the learner and help them develop in a tangible way that allows them to find ways in which they can educate themselves as independent learners, whilst having the confidence to seek out help and 'scaffolding' for their questions and comprehension of their subject.
I am wanting to help learners at all points of their journey and am keen to speak to learners to assess their needs and how I can support them.
