Jillian Fahey

Hello!
My name is Jillian Fahey and my goal is to meet each students needs as I make lessons geared to them. My two main ways to teach are to either have a conversation over a chat or give a video demonstration. In my former experience as an online tutor one main way for contact was for students to send me their papers along with the written instructions their teachers had set. I would then aid the student in improving their paper to fit the requirements.
As for my videos, if there is a problem with a word or idea I try to demonstrate it in daily life. In my videos there would also be cameos from my cat, as she assists me in showing different ideas and topics for students. I have not had much experience teaching over video, but it is something that I am working on getting better at.
For teaching I only have had a few months of experience online, and waiting for the students to ask for help. I was a student myself not long ago, which helps me see a simple truth - no two people are the same. This is a fact that I try to reflect with my teaching methods. However, I need my students cooperation in order to do that.
For me to make my lessons geared to my students, each needs to talk to me. Letting me know what works and what does not. That way we can learn together.
