I am currently pursuing a PhD in Computational Genetics at Imperial College London, where I work in a research environment focused on genetics, biology, and computational approaches to understanding complex biological processes. I have a strong academic background in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry, and I am passionate about science and teaching.
I have previous experience teaching teenagers up to the age of 18, and I particularly enjoy helping students develop both their understanding and confidence. I know that subjects such as Biochemistry can sometimes seem difficult or overwhelming, especially when students are faced with complex pathways, mechanisms, and terminology. My aim is to make these topics much easier to understand by explaining them in a clear, structured, and engaging way.
My lessons are always adapted to the individual student. I take the time to understand their current level, identify the areas they find most challenging, and then build the lesson around their specific needs and goals. I believe that understanding the logic behind a concept is much more effective than simply memorising information. For this reason, I use simple explanations, diagrams, examples, questions, and active recall techniques to help students understand and retain what they learn.
Whether you are studying Biochemistry at school, preparing for exams, struggling with a particular topic, or simply looking to strengthen your knowledge, I can help you work towards your goals. I am patient, friendly, and approachable, and I always encourage students to ask questions without worrying about making mistakes.
My goal is not only to help you improve your grades, but also to make you feel more confident and comfortable with Biochemistry. I want each student to finish a lesson feeling that the subject is clearer, more manageable, and less intimidating than it was before.
