Hi, my name is Jess. I have just graduated from Cardiff University with a 2:1 in Biomedical Science, and I am excited to support students in boosting their biology knowledge and confidence.
My lessons are friendly, engaging, and tailored to suit each student’s preferred learning style. Whether you are working towards GCSE or A Level Biology, I aim to make sessions as clear and helpful as possible. I know that everyone learns differently, so I am more than happy to adapt my teaching approach. This could include using visual aids, active recall, simplified explanations, or going through exam style questions together.
At university, I achieved highly in coursework involving areas such as human physiology, cell biology, genetics, and microbiology. I understand what it is like to feel overwhelmed by complex topics, and I am passionate about making biology easier to understand and more approachable for students.
A typical lesson with me includes a short recap of previous content, a focused look at one or two key topics, and time to apply your knowledge through guided questions or discussion. I can also help you develop exam techniques and study strategies where needed.
Even though I am new to formal tutoring, I bring a strong academic background and a patient, encouraging approach. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and improve.
If you are looking for someone to guide you through tricky topics or prepare for exams, I would love to help!
