I am really excited to support you in your maths learning as I thoroughly enjoy maths and particularly teaching and helping others! I have 3 years of private tutoring experience in person and online. I gained grade 8 in Maths GCSE and an A in Maths A-Level. I have helped students prepare for SATs and GCSEs and I use a range of teaching methods particularly practice questions and past papers. I am also happy to assist in homework.
I pride myself on an interactive and engaging teaching style which is focused on understanding and memorising. I break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps which are catered to each student and their needs and I will regularly check understanding to make sure their understanding is clear. I use examples, diagrams and real-life situations to make maths feel logical and more understandable. I explain concepts in different ways until they make sense. I can give lots of guided step by step practice to ensure students feel confident in everything we do.
In my lessons, we can cover core maths skills such as geometry, algebra and number as well as practice exam questions, how to clearly show working out and revision strategies. I am more than happy to adapt lessons to each student and their needs to accommodate them. I will always be patient, supportive and encouraging. I always encourage students to ask any questions they have if they don't fully understand a concept or explanation. I look forward to helping you reach your goals in maths!
