I am an experienced primary school teacher offering friendly, structured and engaging private tuition for children across the primary curriculum. I support pupils in developing their knowledge, confidence and independent learning skills through lessons tailored to their individual needs, interests and goals.
My teaching approach is warm, patient and encouraging. I take time to understand how each child learns best, identify areas for development and celebrate progress at every stage. Whether your child needs additional support with a particular subject, preparation for school assessments or greater challenge and enrichment, I create purposeful lessons that are both supportive and enjoyable.

Subjects and areas of support:
• English, including reading, phonics, spelling, grammar, punctuation, comprehension and creative writing
• Mathematics, including number skills, problem-solving, reasoning and confidence with core concepts
• Science and other primary curriculum subjects
• Homework support and organisation
• Preparation for school assessments and entrance examinations
• Support with school transitions and building independent study habits
• Extension activities for pupils who would benefit from additional challenge

What to expect from tutoring:
Each session is carefully planned around your child’s current attainment, learning style and objectives. Lessons may include a mixture of explanation, guided practice, discussion, games and practical activities, helping pupils to understand new ideas and apply them confidently. I provide clear feedback to parents and carers so that progress, strengths and next steps remain easy to understand.
I believe that children learn best when they feel listened to, valued and comfortable asking questions. My aim is not only to improve academic outcomes, but also to nurture resilience, curiosity and a positive attitude towards learning.

A supportive partnership:
I work closely with families to establish realistic goals and maintain consistent communication. By creating a calm and positive learning environment, I help pupils develop the skills and self-belief they need to make steady progress both in tutoring sessions and in the classroom.
If you are looking for an experienced primary school teacher who can provide personalised, engaging and reassuring support, please get in touch to discuss how I can help your child.
