My teaching approach is clear, focused, and tailored to each child. I use past papers and carefully chosen questions to break down topics step by step, working through examples together to create strong model answers. This helps pupils develop strong subject knowledge while understanding how to approach questions with confidence. I follow an I do, we do, you do approach, modelling first, practising together, then encouraging independent application to secure understanding and build independent learning.

Sessions are adapted to the individual needs of each child. I can support pupils by working through homework set by their school, as well as delivering topic-focused sessions that align with what they are currently learning in class. I specialise in SATs preparation, focusing on exam technique, time management, and how to tackle different question types calmly and effectively. Alongside SATs, I support children across all primary subjects, helping to build secure knowledge and confidence in their learning.

I have experience teaching in a classroom setting as well as working with small groups and one-to-one tutoring, allowing me to adapt my approach to suit different learning styles. Building confidence is at the heart of my teaching—I aim for children to feel capable, supported, and proud of their progress. My goal is to get the work done efficiently, so there’s time to relax, chat, and enjoy learning in a positive, supportive environment.
