Jason Moniz

Hello and welcome!

My name is Jason, and I am a friendly, patient, and approachable person who genuinely enjoys communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I am a fluent English and Portuguese speaker and have spent many years working directly with people in customer service, aviation, hospitality, healthcare, and travel.

My lessons are designed to be relaxed, practical and enjoyable. I believe that people learn best when they feel comfortable, so I want my students to feel that they can ask questions, make mistakes and practise without worrying about being judged.

I like to make lessons interactive rather than simply talking at the student. Depending on your level and what you would like to achieve, we can focus on everyday conversation, vocabulary, pronunciation, understanding English, building confidence when speaking, or simply practising your English through interesting conversations and real-life situations.

At the beginning, I would like to understand your current level and, more importantly, what you personally want to improve. Every student is different, so I will adapt the lessons to your needs and your pace. For example, if you are nervous about speaking English, we can concentrate on conversation and gradually build your confidence. If you already speak English well but want to become more fluent and natural, we can have more advanced conversations and work on vocabulary and pronunciation.

My professional experience has taught me how important it is to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and adapt to different people and situations. Working in international aviation and travel has also allowed me to communicate with people from many different countries and cultures every day.

I do not believe learning English should feel like a chore. I aim to create a positive environment where you can enjoy the process, improve your communication skills, and become more confident using English in everyday life.
