Hi! I wasn't always the best at English. I actually had to redo my Year 9 End of Year English exam. However, things changed when I was in Year 10, and I got full marks in all my English papers. This continued to A-level and university, where my love for English led me to become a secondary school teacher. The results didn't come naturally, but slow progress is progress. I believe that all my students can do it!

I speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese. I teach UK students and EAL students based on the English curriculum. I also provide frequent updates to parents as I believe they are key players in their childrens' education.

I create individual learning plans for each student, tailoring their lessons to their progress and targets. I create and assign bespoke homework based on the lesson, allowing students to practice what was taught and develop their skills and memory. I started tutoring in 2020, so I have over 5 years of experience. I am best suited for children preparing for the 11+ (Maths and English), GCSE and A-level English. I always strive to improve, so I am always open to adapting to students' needs, whether that is doing a whole lesson on exam revision for their upcoming exam or mocks. I also have experience with 11+ interviews, as I teach etiquette and the structuring of answers.

Students I have tutored strangely enjoy my lessons to the point they ask for more lesson time. The most I have done is two hours straight. Hopefully, you will enjoy my lessons as much as they did!
