I provide warm, patient and highly individualised lessons for autistic children and young people, including learners with learning disabilities, communication or sensory needs, anxiety, or difficulties accessing education.
Every lesson is shaped around the learner’s strengths, interests, needs and EHCP outcomes. I take time to build trust and help each young person feel safe, understood and ready to learn. Sessions are calm, practical and structured, with clear routines, visual supports and sensory-informed approaches where helpful.
Depending on the learner, lessons may focus on functional English and maths, communication, emotional regulation, confidence, life skills, independence or preparation for adulthood. Learning is introduced gradually and at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful.
I am an experienced SEND teacher, curriculum lead and senior leader with more than 20 years’ experience supporting autistic learners from KS1 to Post-16. I hold a postgraduate qualification in autism and am trained in approaches including SCERTS, TEACCH, PECS and Makaton. I have extensive experience of supporting young people with learning disability communication needs, sensory differences and highly individual learning profiles.
