I want to make sure time is used effectively for all students. So, in advance, I would try to gain an understanding of any topics or skills that may want to be focused on. That way I can plan a lesson to recap concepts or develop exercises to help students practice or learn a new skill. I am also happy to take the time to go through and discuss example questions and go through past papers as I have personally found this effective in my learning. Overall, I want to centre teaching around the needs and wants of the student. If there are any specific exercises or different ways of learning a student would like to engage with, I am open and willing to engage in it with them. Furthermore, I understand that while some students may want to practice between lessons, others do not have the time. Hence, I will personalise extra work to every students depending on what they want.
