Jamie Dormer-Durling

Teaching is a passion rather than a job for me - I love my subjects and am an enthusiastic educator. I favour a non-hierarchical, collaborative form of learning, encouraging curiosity and exploration.

I will spend time with students to identify individual interests and needs in helping them find their personal creative voice. I have worked with students with a wide range of learning styles and am an adaptable educator who listens to the needs of his tutees. I am highly experienced in teaching both technical skills and theory, context and project development. My technical skillsets include both digital and traditional photographic techniques. I have been teaching photoshop, lightroom and InDesign for over a decade and using them in practice for 20+ years. When delivering practical sessions I like to embrace alternative materials and techniques which consolidate the fundamentals of a range of artistic and photographic processes.
