Learning should be engaging, enjoyable, and empowering. As a qualified primary teacher, I believe that every child can succeed when given the right support, time, and encouragement. My approach to tutoring centres on building confidence and helping pupils enjoy the learning process — because when learning is fun, real progress follows.

I have worked with children aged 5 to 11, including those with English as an additional language and those with special educational needs. I understand that every child is different, and I tailor my lessons to suit each learner’s unique strengths and challenges.

Many pupils struggle simply because new concepts are introduced too quickly in class, with little time to practice or revisit tricky topics. My one-to-one sessions provide that space- a calm, patient environment where we can work through weaker areas together and take the time needed to truly understand the material.

Each lesson focuses on small, measurable steps forward. These steady improvements help pupils feel capable and proud of their progress, boosting not just academic ability but self-esteem too. Over time, this growing confidence extends well beyond the classroom.

If your child needs help catching up, or just wants to feel more secure in their learning, I’m here to help. Together, we’ll make learning feel achievable, enjoyable, and rewarding.
