I have always had a love for maths, so it was a no-brainer to continue study further with a degree in Mathematics at Loughborough University, where I achieved first-class honours.

In the four years I have spent teaching, my passion for this subject has only strengthened, as I strive to provide tutees with the support and guidance to achieve their own aspirations, and reach their goals.

Through my experience both learning, as well as four years tutoring, I have found that the best way to improve as a mathematician is to focus primarily on tackling exam-style questions - this is not to say that there is not a time and place for a theory-based teaching lesson. The focus of the lesson typically is determined in advance; either we focus on an area the student would like extra work on from their college lessons, or we work through topics from other areas of the curriculum to improve and consolidate a broader range of topics from the course.

I understand that all students are unique, and whilst concepts explained in one way may clarify the topic for some, others may require a completely different approach. Working with students of varying ages and abilities has given me the understanding needed to tailor each lesson as necessary.

The lessons are normally taught through Zoom, and are one or two hours long. I teach A-level Maths, A-level Further Maths, GCSE Maths and Further Maths, and I also have some experience teaching international A-level and GCSE. I have not taught degree level maths before, but I am open to enquiries regarding this.

As for the times of the lessons, I tend to teach in the evening from 4-9 on weekdays and weekends, but please don't hesitate for an enquiry outside of these times, and we will try and organise a slot to suit your schedule.
