I will always adapt my lessons to your needs, wether it be focusing on new pieces, developing your composition skills or challenging your technique with creative studies and warmups.
Using the knowledge I have gained from studying with professionals in the field such as Milos Karadaglic, Alexandra Whittingham and Xuefei Yang, I will be able to guide your guitar playing to it's fullest potential.
I am experienced with the Classical and Rock grading exams, having passed students with distinction grades, I know how much preparation and commitment this can take.
As a teacher I am also consistently pushing myself as a musician, I believe this is a key part of music industry, to continuously inspire and motivate my students.
In regards to lesson prep I consistently create new warmups and exercises on the guitar which are personally dedicated to the students, focusing on areas which will improve Thier specific guitar playing.
With my degree in music performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, I specialise in classical guitar however I have lots of experience playing other varieties including electric. I am confident I will be able to assist your musical development in all styles of the guitar.
My lessons consist of a session of technical warmups in both the right and left hand (these will be specific to the pieces and style you are learning), a larger portion will be on the current repertoire and overall aim of your playing, rounded off with a recap of the lesson and a practice guide.
