My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual learning needs. I begin by assessing the student’s current level, strengths, and areas that need improvement. This allows me to create a personalized learning plan that targets gaps in understanding while strengthening existing knowledge. With over three years of mathematics tutoring experience, I have successfully supported students across primary and secondary levels, helping them improve performance, confidence, and problem-solving skills .
During lessons, I use a step-by-step teaching approach to break down complex mathematical concepts into simple, understandable parts. I focus strongly on core topics such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and mathematical reasoning, ensuring students not only know how to solve problems but also understand why methods work. My background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering gives me a strong mathematical foundation, allowing me to explain concepts clearly and logically, while linking maths to real-world applications where helpful .
My lesson format is interactive rather than lecture-based. I encourage students to ask questions, attempt problems independently, and explain their thinking. I use worked examples, guided practice, and independent exercises to reinforce learning. I also incorporate regular mini-assessments and feedback sessions so students and parents can clearly see progress over time.
For online lessons, I use platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet and digital tools to share notes, solve problems live, and provide learning materials. For in-person sessions, I maintain the same structured and supportive environment.
Most importantly, I focus on building student confidence. Many students struggle with maths due to fear or past difficulties, so I create a patient, encouraging learning atmosphere where mistakes are part of learning. My goal is not only to help students pass exams, but to help them become independent, confident problem solvers who can apply maths skills in school and beyond.
