I have studied the sciences throughout university with an undergraduate in Pharmacology and postgraduate in Biotechnology. I have a very versatile set of knowledge and look to teach in a range of subjects; in school I excelled in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, English, and German. I find the connection between what we learn in school and the real world incredibly important, and hope to convey the importance of various subjects (especially science!) to students so that they can too become passionate about their studies!
While I have specialised in the sciences, I also have excellent language skills and can help out with written tasks and presentations. How we express ourselves through the English language is important in whichever field we end up in.
I like to place an emphasis on the relevancy of a subject to the real world so students can better understand how important it is to learn. It is very easy to get lost in a subject which some may see as boring, thinking it's not going to be important to learn. I would hope to teach in such a way that students reject that mindset, and learn to enjoy what they learn and see how it can help them going forward in whatever path they pursue.
