Jake Davids

As someone with around 15 years experience playing guitar along with having a diploma in guitar performance and a bachelor's degree in songwriting, I have an extensive knowledge of music theory and guitar techniques.
In my lessons I aim to make learning about music fun, this is done with as much playing as possible, forget playing boring exercises and scales. I'll make the lessons about you, I can help teach specific techniques, and then jam using them, or help a student master a song they've always wanted to play.

My lessons will revolve around as much playing as possible as ultimately this is the reason we all want to get better at guitar.

First lessons will be about finding out what the student wants, if that's the ability to shred like van hallen or to just play some chords I'll tailor the lessons to the students wants and needs.

Learning music theory made fun by making it practical no need to sit there bored as someone yaps on about scales, modes and time signatures. I'll make this into a fun exercise that feels more like a jam than a lesson, with the added benefit of learning about music theory and the nuance around the techniques required to play guitar.
