The lesson begins by developing phonetic awareness, progressing towards word formation and vocabulary development. Learners are introduced to the sounds of the English language and guided to recognise, produce, and differentiate between various phonemes. Through engaging activities, they gradually connect sounds with letters and words, building a strong foundation for reading and writing.

The lesson integrates the four essential language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Learners listen to and identify sounds and words, practise speaking through repetition and guided conversations, read simple words and sentences, and develop their writing skills through letter formation, word building, and short written exercises. The activities are designed to encourage active participation, improve pronunciation, expand vocabulary, and develop confidence in using English.

By the end of the lesson, learners are expected to demonstrate improved phonetic awareness, recognise and form simple words, understand basic vocabulary, and use the language effectively in familiar contexts. The lesson also promotes communication, comprehension, and the gradual development of independent language-learning skills.
