I teach French at all levels. I have had students who were complete beginners, or on the other hand, students who were studying French at university.
I am very creative so I like coming up with alternative ways of explaining. I know French tenses are tricky to understand so if you struggle with them, I might use colourful ribbons to help you visualise a timeline.
My main priority when I teach is to create a safe space where students can practice French without being afraid of making mistakes. I have lived in the UK for a while now, and I know how much our linguistic skills - especially speaking - are closely connected to self confidence. That is why, I always make sure to create a comfortable environement where students can progressively build their skills as well as their self confidence.
Besides, I usually ask my students not to take down any notes while practicing so that they can fully focus on the language. After each lesson, I send them personalised feedback.
I have been tutoring French and English, and I now work in a secondary school to teach French to A level pupils. As mentioned above, I studied Education at university, which has enabled me to develop strong knowledge of various teaching methods.
