I tailor my classes to the student's preference. If they prefer going through test papers, identifying areas of weakness and going through those topics, I will do that. Another method I use is teaching topics that students mention they struggle with, using their exam board if necessary, for 40 minutes, and then doing past paper questions with them for the last 20 minutes of a one hour lesson. Every student is different with a different preference, I would rather adjust my teaching style and layout to allow the student to remain engaged and learn in every lesson, than use the same lesson structure and plan for every student.

I've taught numerous students privately online, in my community and otherwise, mainly for GCSE Maths and Sciences. I have also taught A-Level Maths and Chemistry. My qualifications include: 9 for GCSE Maths, 8 in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, A* in A-Level Maths and A in A-Level Chemistry. I teach across all exam boards, including WJEC, and ensure what I teach is exactly what you need to know using your exam board specification.

It's really important to understand topics, and sometimes ask why something happens, so you remember the content better and you can apply the knowledge to exam questions. I often teach in the way I wish I was taught, answering why and how as I teach, and occasionally including memorable analogies to embed the concept better in students.
