Jacob Morris

Hi, my name is Jacob. I have a first class bachelor's degree in mathematics and philosophy from the University of Bristol. I also have a merit grade master's degree in analytic philosophy from the Universitat de Barcelona. My A levels include an A* in further mathematics, and A's in mathematics, physics, and english literature.

I have many years of experience teaching a range of subjects (Maths, Physics, Philosophy, English, Spanish) at all levels. I have privately tutored GCSE and A level maths and physics, as well as teaching mathematics olympiads at a specialised maths school. At university, I also taught mathematics support sessions for younger undergraduates. I also have experience teaching large classrooms since I have taught english as a foreign language for four years at different summer schools. I am very patient, calm, and I always try to find approaches to learning that fit with individual student needs. My past students have told me that my lessons are fun and engaging, and that I have been able to explain difficult concepts in a way that they understand.

Depending on the subject, I use many different resources to teach. I like to keep my classes relaxed and fun, as I believe students learn best when they are comfortable and confidant.
