My approach is all about building confidence and making learning enjoyable. I start by explaining concepts clearly, then work through problems together before gradually allowing students to become more independent so they can confidently tackle past paper questions. The lessons are interactive and engaging, taught online via Zoom/Teams using a shared whiteboard, and typically last between 30 minutes and 2 hours - whatever the student's preference.
I have experience doing this through my time as a Maths and Physics Prefect during Year 13 of secondary school, where I aided students in lessons and ran intervention sessions, seeing direct improvements to their grades and confidence in the subject. To me, that was thoroughly enjoyable to see.
