I fell in love with teaching almost by accident, after taking a job as a tutor in a school. Seeing students grow in confidence and ability made me realise this was what I wanted to do, which led me to train as a fully qualified teacher (PGCE, QTS).

I have always loved maths, science and engineering, and I bring that enthusiasm into every lesson. Alongside teaching, I’ve worked in the carbon capture sector, giving me real-world industry experience that helps students see how maths applies beyond the classroom. I genuinely believe teaching is the best job in the world — building strong relationships, watching students progress, and helping them realise their potential is incredibly rewarding.

I teach using an online interactive whiteboard which is editable by you and myself. It can be written on using a mouse, however a writing tablet is much more effective (available to borrow from me for a £10 refundable deposit). The software also incorporates a live video-call feature. Using this software, we will be able to access a variety of maths problems and the editable nature means that I can model solutions to you, give instant feedback and live-mark your work as we go. You will have the option to download the whiteboard as a pdf at the end of the lesson, so you can keep a record of everything we cover.

Outside of teaching, I love to play tennis, squash and badminton. I also love to cook and bake whenever I get the time.
