I’ve been teaching guitar since I was 17 and playing in bands since I was 15. My lessons cater to players of all levels—beginners, intermediate players looking to take the next step, and advanced players wanting to push their limits. I cover everything from scales, chords, and improvisation, to advanced techniques like hybrid picking, alternate picking, sweep picking, economy picking, tapping, legato, and string skipping. I also focus on ear training, fretboard mapping, and speed training—there's something for everyone.
I specialize in blues, rock, and metal, with added flavors of country and jazz. As a self-taught guitarist, I help students find their own voice and understand how to make their influences become part of their unique style. Every lesson is tailored to the individual—there’s no “one size fits all” approach.
With years of stage experience, I also help students develop the confidence to perform live, teaching them how to fit in with a band and not overcrowd the sonic space. I offer guidance on using inversions, so multiple guitarists can harmonize effectively without stepping on each other's toes.
In addition to mastering the instrument, I teach players how to maintain their guitars for optimal performance, as well as how to sculpt their guitar tones to suit any musical need. I also provide advice on gear—from strings and picks, to amps, effects, and pickups—so my students have everything they need to succeed.
Whatever a student needs to learn, if can provide - with the exception of reading music! But the tools to go out and play what you want - i've got you covered!
