My lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style. I begin by identifying the areas where the student needs the most support, whether that is understanding key concepts, applying knowledge to exam questions, improving exam technique, or developing stronger analytical and evaluation skills.

Lessons are conducted online using video conferencing and screen sharing, allowing us to work through notes, source material, past paper questions, mark schemes, and exam-style responses together. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson and aim to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable discussing any topics they find challenging.

As someone who has recently studied Edexcel A-Level Business and is currently predicted an A*, as well as achieving a Grade 7 in OCR GCSE Business, I have a strong understanding of the content and skills required for success in Business examinations. In addition, I achieved a Grade 7 in AQA GCSE History, studying Medicine Through Time, Elizabeth I, Russia and the Cold War, and I am currently predicted an A in AQA A-Level History, studying Russia 1917–1953 and The Tudors 1485–1603. This gives me first-hand knowledge of the specifications, exam requirements, and revision strategies needed to achieve strong results.

I focus not only on subject knowledge but also on helping students develop the skills that examiners are looking for. In Business, this includes application, analysis, and evaluation, while in History it involves source analysis, interpretation, argument construction, and essay-writing technique.

I place a strong emphasis on exam preparation, using past papers and examiner reports to help students understand exactly what examiners are looking for. A key part of my teaching approach is encouraging students to think independently rather than simply giving them the answers. I use targeted questions and guided discussion to help students arrive at conclusions themselves, ensuring they fully understand the reasoning behind each concept. This allows me to check that the content is genuinely being understood rather than memorised. Throughout lessons, I regularly revisit previous topics and ask students to explain concepts in their own words, helping to reinforce learning and ensure that everything we cover is being retained effectively.

My aim is to make lessons both productive and enjoyable, helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve measurable improvements in their academic performance. Each lesson is adapted to the student's individual goals, whether they are aiming to improve their confidence, boost their grades, or achieve top marks.
