Izzie Glover

I graduated from Cambridge with a BA in English Literature 4 years ago and have been tutoring English Language/Literature and UCAS applications ever since.

I believe that the key to enjoying and succeeding in English is by helping each student uncover a love for the subject and encouraging a personal engagement with each of their school texts. My teaching style is based on empowering the students via their strengths so that they feel confident enough to tackle their challenges. I have been mainly tutoring A-Level students but have begun to extend my teaching to GCSE level, and is really enjoying helping students get around the challenges of Shakespeare and Unseen Poetry.

Recent achievements include securing 3 MA offers for an MA Creative writing student who had no academic background in Creative Writing, and a most improved in English school award for a student with ADD. Aside from tutoring, I am a writer and poet.
