I'm a qualified teacher with 3 years experience working in the Modern Languages department in a secondary school, 3 years experience working as a coach for adults and 8 years working as a private tutor.

My lessons are personalised, structured, and confidence-building. I have taught and coached a wide range of learners - young children, teenagers and adult students, including gifted and talented pupils in addition to those with diverse needs such as autism, dyslexia, ADHD and speech and language difficulties. This breadth of experience allows me to adapt my approach to each individual so they feel supported, understood and appropriately challenged.

I take a social constructivist approach, encouraging students to learn actively through discussion, guided thinking, and linking new ideas to what they already know. Each session begins with a quick check-in before moving into focused teaching based on their goals - whether that’s exam technique, subject mastery or a discussion following a coaching model. I use clear modelling, worked examples, and scaffolded practice so students understand both the method and the reasoning behind it. Where helpful, we also work under timed or exam-style conditions to build familiarity and confidence.

My lessons are friendly, interactive, and practical. I encourage students to think aloud, ask questions freely, and develop effective strategies they can apply independently.
