About me

I am currently Head of Modern Foreign Languages at a mainstream school in London, as well as an SEN specialist and native Spanish teacher. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education, with a focus on language disorders, and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Barcelona. I am currently Head of Modern Foreign Languages at a mainstream school in London, as well as an SEN specialist and native Spanish teacher. I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education, with a focus on language disorders, and a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Barcelona. I have also completed a specialist course in teaching Spanish as a foreign language to children and young people with Special Educational Needs. With over 20 years of experience, I have taught across a range of educational settings, including IB, GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level programmes, preparing students for AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge examination boards. I also have extensive experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language to adults, from beginner to advanced levels.

Isabel is simply the best tutor. She took my son from zero Spanish to a strong GCSE grade, but more importantly, she inspired a genuine interest in the language. Her teaching style is engaging and supportive, and she truly believes in her students. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

I really recommend Isabel! I got in touch with her after my son's 1st GCSE mock exam results were a little disappointing with the hope she could help him improve. She has provided really great 1-1 tuition, being patient, providing great feedback and my son always looks forward to the lessons! The result being my son's second mock results were 2 grades higher! I'm really thankful to have found her!
