About me

The format of my lessons greatly depend on the student's preferences and the course. I offer GCSE maths, A-Level Maths, A-Level Further Maths, A-Level Biology, and A-Level Chemistry. The format of my lessons greatly depend on the student's preferences and the course. I offer GCSE maths, A-Level Maths, A-Level Further Maths, A-Level Biology, and A-Level Chemistry. As a general guide, Math subjects are more practice based, whereas science subjects are more content based, but once again it greatly varies on the student.

If the student would prefer me reteaching the content in a different way from lessons, then I'd turn to the use of visual aids e.g. diagrams, videos, and demonstrations to make sure they have a basic understanding of recall knowledge. Then after a series of practice questions to test their understanding, we could attempt a few past paper questions. On the other hand, if the student feels more comfortable diving straight into past papers, that is also ok, and I can accommodate. Either way, I can confidently say that the student will get the help they need.

It's also worth noting that due to my time in the US (see my description for more info,) I understand both American and English curriculums. Therefore, students that have moved from the US to the UK recently will benefit even more, as I understand discrepancies and contradictions in the curriculums that make it difficult for students to navigate between them.

I am based in Leyland, Lancashire, but I am open to online tutoring. Either way, I can guarantee the quality of tutoring will be the same.

I offer a free 30 minute trial before the official tutoring starts. This allows the student and I to break the ice, allowing me to learn their preference in the dynamic of the lesson and any topics they are particularly struggling with. Then we can have a quick, mini-lesson, after which the student can decide if they'd like to continue with me as their tutor.
