Each session is designed around the child’s individual needs and pace.
• Warm-up & connection: A short chat, game, or activity to help the child settle and feel comfortable.
• Focused learning time: Targeted work in English or Maths, using visual, hands-on, or multi-sensory methods to make concepts clearer and engaging.
• Confidence check-in: I always end with reflection or positive feedback so the child leaves feeling proud and motivated.

For younger children, lessons are play-based and full of movement, stories, and songs. For older pupils, we focus on building independent learning skills — like organisation, problem solving, and resilience — alongside academic progress.
I cover English, Maths, Reading, Writing, Phonics, and SATs preparation, but my sessions go beyond academics. I incorporate:
• Visual and sensory materials for better focus and understanding.
• Calm and patient communication that supports emotional regulation.
• Positive reinforcement to strengthen self-esteem and curiosity.

Every child is unique, and so every lesson feels different — shaped by their mood, energy, and interests on that day.
Experience and Philosophy

With over 20 years in Early Years and Special Educational Needs teaching, I bring experience, creativity, and empathy to every session.
My background allows me to recognise subtle learning needs, adapt strategies quickly, and create lessons that help children not only learn but feel good about learning.

Because when children believe they can — they will. ??

I would highly recommend Isabel to any parent looking for a caring, skilled, and dedicated tutor. My child was finding English quite challenging and also needed support with fine motor skills, which made reading and writing difficult. From the very first session, Isabel created a calm and positive learning environment where my child felt comfortable and motivated. Lessons are thoughtfully planned, combining literacy work with activities that strengthen hand control and writing fluency. Isabel celebrates every little success, which has helped build my child’s confidence and love for learning. We’ve noticed a huge improvement not only in reading and writing, but also in focus and coordination. Most importantly, my child now looks forward to lessons each week — something I never expected! Isabel is an outstanding tutor who truly cares about their students’ progress and well-being. We feel very lucky to have found them.
