Irene Markantzis

I am a classical pianist with an ABRSM Diploma in Piano Performance, and I have been teaching for many years. Over time, I have worked with a wide range of students, helping them prepare for graded exams, auditions, and competitions, as well as supporting those who simply want to learn the piano for personal enjoyment. My lessons are calm, structured, and encouraging, with a strong focus on developing solid technique, musical understanding, and confidence at the instrument.

I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual goals, personalities, and learning speeds. For exam students, I provide clear guidance on repertoire, scales, sight-reading, and aural skills, ensuring they feel prepared and supported throughout the entire process. For auditions and competitions, I offer detailed coaching on interpretation, expression, and performance skills, helping students present their best musical selves.

I also enjoy teaching students who prefer a more relaxed and flexible approach. Whether you want to explore classical music, learn your favourite pieces, or simply enjoy a creative hobby, I design lessons that are enjoyable, motivating, and tailored to your interests.
