Hello! My name is Iqra Arshad, and I am a qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher offering personalised online tutoring for children in KS1 and KS2. I have taught across every primary year group, from Nursery to Year 6. This wide range of experience has given me a deep understanding of the curriculum, child development, and the different learning needs of pupils at each stage of their primary education.

My lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and tailored to each child’s individual strengths and areas for improvement. Before starting tutoring, I take time to understand your child’s current ability, confidence level, and learning style so I can plan sessions that will genuinely support their progress.

I have over 2 years of experience in phonics and early reading, providing clear, systematic instruction using proven methods to help children improve their decoding, blending, segmenting, and overall reading fluency. For older learners, I offer comprehensive support across all primary subjects, including Maths, English, SPaG, Reading Comprehension, and Creative Writing.

I also provide targeted SATs preparation for both KS1 and KS2, helping students become confident with exam-style questions, time management, and key skills needed to succeed. Additionally, I offer structured support for 11+ exam preparation, including verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, and maths skills.

My sessions are interactive and child-friendly, incorporating a mixture of modelling, guided practice, games, discussion, and independent activities. I create a positive and encouraging environment where children feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and challenge themselves. I also offer homework help, ensuring pupils fully understand their school tasks and feel supported outside the classroom.
