I don’t want my students to feel like they have to be here; I want them to feel like they want to be here. My lessons are designed to be fun, interactive, and engaging, so that maths feels less like a chore and more like an opportunity to learn and succeed.
Every student is different, so I adapt my approach depending on their age, ability, and goals. For younger learners, I use games, puzzles, and visual aids to keep the lessons lively and exciting, helping them to develop strong foundations in number skills and problem-solving. For older students, especially those preparing for GCSEs, I focus on exam techniques, past papers, and step-by-step strategies that build both confidence and accuracy.
I believe in creating a positive, supportive environment where mistakes are seen as part of the learning process, not something to fear. I encourage questions, celebrate progress, and make sure that students feel comfortable and motivated. My goal is not only to improve their maths skills but also to boost their self-belief, so they approach every challenge with resilience, curiosity, and determination.
