I have taught before Spanish to English speaking students.
I use diverse active formats according to the student age and interest.
For children I use infant songs and games. Flashcards, visual and real objects and audio lingual model for the students to listen and repeat.
For young and adults students I use communicative language with real-life scenarios to interact and create conversation and debates. Depending of the student level I will use direct method with the instructions given entirely in the foreign language. Helping the student to understand ideas, body language and intonation.
Grammar, reading, writing paragraph or small essays will be used if the student wants to learn the language for school or professional use.
Topics of conversation can be suggested by the student.
I will dedicate some lessons to compare Spanish speaking countries' culture and history.
The decision to the approach and method will be choose by the student in the first encounter and depending of the propose and expectations the student have regarding Spanish language knowledge.
I will be flexible to change the lesson plan if the ideas and propositions the student brings are according to the current level.
Lesson could be face to face or online as long as there is a proper audio-visual channel and terms and conditions such as parents presents during lessons for minor students, and appropriate dressing light and background for both parts, to maintain respect, professionalism, avoid distractions and be able to use visual aids like flashcards. Cancellations no less than 72hrs prior lessons.
