I’m a friendly and patient Law student with a strong interest in English, having achieved Grade 7s in both GCSE English Language and Literature. I also have experience volunteering with primary school children, where I supported pupils with their reading and helped them develop their confidence.
My online lessons are aimed at KS1 and KS2 pupils, including children preparing for SATs and the 11+. I can provide support with reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, creative writing and general English skills.
I understand that every child learns differently, so I would tailor each lesson to the individual pupil and the areas they need the most help with. Lessons would include a mixture of explanations, guided practice, questions and activities, rather than simply working through worksheets.
Most importantly, I want pupils to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My aim is to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where they can build their confidence while making genuine progress in English.
I’m happy to discuss with parents beforehand what their child is currently working on at school, any areas they struggle with and what they would like to achieve from tutoring.
