My lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored entirely to each student’s individual goals and learning style. Whether we are tackling KS3 fundamentals, navigating the step up to GCSEs, or mastering complex A-Level topics, I focus on transforming challenging concepts into clear, logical steps.

A typical 60-minute session is split into three core phases:

Concept Breakdown: We begin by examining the core theory behind a topic using an interactive digital whiteboard. I explain the mathematical principles in plain, jargon-free language to ensure genuine understanding rather than rote memorization.

Guided Practice: We work through tailored example problems together. I guide students step-by-step through problem-solving frameworks, ensuring they understand the underlying structure of each question.

Independent Application & Exam Technique: Students apply what they have learned to real past-paper questions. We focus heavily on mark scheme requirements, efficient calculations, and strategies to avoid common exam pitfalls.

Having achieved predicted A* grades at A-Level—including A* in Mathematics—and delivered over 100 hours of 1-to-1 private and online tuition, I understand firsthand where students struggle most and how exam boards award marks.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and highly adaptable. I track student progress after every session, adapt my pacing to match their needs, and regularly provide feedback to help them build long-term academic confidence. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and ultimately achieving their target grades.
