Many students don't struggle with maths because they're incapable. They struggle because they've missed a few key ideas somewhere along the way. My job is to identify those gaps, rebuild the underlying understanding, and help students develop the confidence to solve problems independently.
Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment so we can identify exactly where they're getting stuck. From there, I create a structured learning plan that focuses on understanding first and exam performance second. Once the concepts are clear, the marks usually follow.
Lessons are delivered online using an interactive digital whiteboard, allowing us to work through problems together just as we would in person. I use diagrams, visual explanations, and carefully chosen examples to make abstract ideas easier to understand. Students receive targeted practice between lessons, and we regularly revisit previous topics to strengthen long-term retention.
My background combines mathematics, software engineering, finance, and data analysis, giving me a highly analytical approach to teaching. Rather than encouraging students to memorise procedures, I help them understand why mathematical methods work, so they can apply them confidently to unfamiliar questions.
I teach GCSE and IGCSE Mathematics across all major exam boards, whether you're aiming to move from a grade 4 to a 6 or pushing for the highest grades. My goal is simple: build lasting confidence through genuine understanding.
