My lessons are relaxed, supportive, and focused on helping students genuinely understand the subject rather than just memorising content. I usually start by identifying what the student is struggling with, then we work through topics step by step using explanations, examples, and exam-style questions.

For GCSE and A-Level students, I place a big focus on exam technique, because knowing how to answer questions properly can make a huge difference in grades. I also make lessons interactive so students feel comfortable asking questions at any point.

I adapt lessons depending on the student — some students need help building confidence and understanding the basics, while others want to push for top grades and improve accuracy under timed conditions. My aim is always to make lessons productive, clear, and as stress-free as possible.

As a Sixth Form Leader at LightHall, I’ve had experience supporting and mentoring students academically, helping them stay organised, motivated, and confident during GCSEs and A-Levels. Working closely with students in a school environment has helped me understand the pressures they face and how to explain things in a way that feels approachable rather than overwhelming.
